Many families were caught unawares with the spread of COVID -19. So many children are out of school. Many businesses are closed down. Families are starving and things are getting out of hand.
Many families can't feed because they relied on one source of revenue. An average Civil Servant in Nigeria eagerly waits for the salary every month. Once paid, they release feeding allowance and pay little contribution for rent and fees and that's all. If anything happens to his job, service closes.
What about the average oil worker? Most of them live extravagant lifestyle. They buy cars like baby toys. Some of their wives take pleasure in expensive jewelries and NO ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF INCOME.
No matter how small the income might be, plan to establish and manage alternatives. Imagine having close to ten alternative sources of income? COVID -19 wouldn't have affected most of us the way it did.
Invest in the following.....
> Bakery
> Agriculture
> Transportation
> ICT
> Finance etc
I'm sure that we have learnt our lesson.
DON'T EAT ALL YOU GATHER. START UP SOMETHING. NO MATTER HOW SMALL
