INFIBULATION.HAVE YOU HEARD ABOUT IT BEFORE?

What is infibulation?

infibulation is the practice of excising the clitoris and labia of a girl or woman and stitching together the edges of the vulva to prevent sexual intercourse. It is traditional in some north-eastern African cultures but is highly controversial.

It is the extreme   female genital mutilation involving complete excision of the clitoris, labia minora, and most of the labia majora followed by stitching to close up ...

INFIBULATION: This is the complete scraping of vagina and stitching it together to prevent the girl from having sex They seal the # vagina and leave small hole for the girl to menstruate or urinate! They tie their legs with rope for days so that the wound can heal. It usually take 15 to 40 days for the wound to heal. During this period the girl's legs remain tied and she is prevented from moving. They have done us (GIRLS) dirty Basically, the stitches are meant to be reopen by her husband on the wedding night so he can have intimate with her. Imagine someone opening stitches and immediately having # sex with her. Just imagine the pains, I mean serious pains!! Imagine the trauma the girl will pass through. Ka m juo, Is it not better to allow her decide if she will marry as a virgin or not than to do this? At birth many women have to be cut again because the vagina opening is too small for the passage of the baby. It also cause urinary tract infections in women, fistulae and infertility etc. The worst is that this is done to women by women. I think this is where feminism should come. This is what feminists should be fighting for not who should wash plates or cook food, as this is still practiced in some part of Africa. It was also practiced in North America, Australia and New Zealand. It's heartbreaking ... Say No To INFIBULATION! Our girls do not deserve this ill treatment for being girls. # SayNoToInfibulation # LetGirlsLive # SayNoToChildAbuse # SayNoToBodyAbuse # NoInfibulation . # issorite
